New Meet SkyTimer 3

Fuel system guides

Just about any single or twin. Up to seven tanks.

SkyTimer works with the fuel system you actually fly: up to seven tanks, with the selectors, crossfeed, transfer pumps, and return fuel that connect them. Ready-made setups for popular aircraft make it even quicker to start, and you can build other aircraft yourself.

Build the fuel system you fly.

Build your aircraft in SkyTimer’s aircraft builder, from scratch or from a ready-made type you change to match yours. The fuel-system drawing, estimates, and reminders all follow what you build.

  • Up to 7 tanks: mains, tips, inboard, outboard, nacelle, aux, center, or your own name
  • Single-engine, twin, or centerline twin
  • Selectors with Both positions, and crossfeed for twins
  • Transfer pumps, one-way or two-way
  • Fuel return to the tank you choose
  • Unusable fuel, and gallons, liters, pounds, or kilograms

Guides by fuel system

Ready-made aircraft: a head start.

Choose one of these types when you add your aircraft, and SkyTimer fills in typical tanks, fuel flow, and reminders. Every value is marked TYPICAL until you check it against your POH and change any that differ.

Don’t see yours? You can still use SkyTimer: build your aircraft yourself. We add new types to this list regularly.

SkyTimer estimates fuel from your starting fuel, fuel flow, time, and the fuel system you configure. It doesn’t measure fuel. Use it alongside your fuel gauges and your POH, never instead of them.

Questions about aircraft and fuel systems

Something else? Visit Support.

My aircraft isn’t listed. Can I still use SkyTimer?

Yes. Build your fuel system in the aircraft builder: up to 7 tanks, single-engine or twin, selectors with Both positions, crossfeed, transfer pumps, and fuel return, in gallons, liters, pounds, or kilograms.

Are the typical values checked against the POH?

Treat them as a starting point. The app marks them TYPICAL and asks you to check each one against your POH and any supplement, and to change any that differ.

Does SkyTimer measure the fuel in my tanks?

No. It estimates each tank from the fuel you enter, your fuel flow, time, and your fuel system. Use it alongside your fuel gauges and your POH.
